1) Start with cold water (filtered or spring water are recommended) and bring the water to a boil (212°F).
2) Add 1.5 teaspoon of leaves into the ONO filter. Use 1.5 teaspoon per 8 oz cup of boiling water.
3) Pour the boiling hot water over the leaves and steep for 5-10 minutes.
4) Remove the filter to strain the tea and enjoy!
Tip #2: Rooibos is delicious by itself but also great with milk and honey. Alternatively you can brew the tea in hot milk.
Tip #3: Don’t worry about over brewing rooibos. Japanese scientists, such as Matatoshi Nakano, have discovered that the effect of free radicals in the process of aging and the decline of the immune system is limited by the anti-oxidants in Rooibos. If Rooibos is brewed for longer than 10 minutes, the anti-oxidant activity becomes much higher.
Tip #4: Remember to save the leaves for a 2nd or 3rd steeping and get the most out of your ONO tea! When using the ONO filtering system, it’s simple - all you have to do is add more water to the filter. Find out how by CLICKING HERE >>
