(+) Yerba Mate Brewing Tips
1) Start with cold water (filtered or spring water are recommended) and bring the water to the point of steaming (170° F - 180°F).
2) Add 1 teaspoon of leaves into the ONO filter. Use 1 teaspoon per 8 oz cup of steaming water.
3) Pour the steaming hot water over the leaves and steep for 5 minutes.
4) Remove the filter to strain the tea and enjoy!
Tip #2: Yerba mate can stay steeped in the cup for longer than 10 minutes. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger and more flavorful it will become. Unlike a black, oolong, green, or white tea, the mate leaf does not get bitter over time.
Tip #3: Remember to save the leaves for a 2nd or 3rd steeping and get the most out of your ONO tea! When using the ONO filtering system, it’s simple - all you have to do is add more water to the filter. Find out how by CLICKING HERE >>
